TRAPALANDA (3) started favourite and was there to strike but lacked the change of gears required when third last start over 1800m at Randwick. Steps up to 2400m which is ideal at this stage of the prep. Expect that Sydney form to stack up most favourably. AMPLIFY (5) ran on stoutly to get up for fourth last time out over 1805m at this track. On trial at this distance but is very fit and gives the impression it will suit. LENNOX (4) whacked away but was no match for the finishing burst of Tapildoodledo a fortnight ago over 2200m here. Very one-paced now and probably looking for this sort of trip. TAPILDOODLEDO (1) made a rare visit to the winner's enclosure when he came home far too well for his rivals over 2200m recently. Goes up 2.5kgs after the claim. Not convinced he can do it again but cannot be ruled out entirely. FARWEST (9) finished midfield in the Tapildoodledo race but can improve out to this trip on the limit weight.
