BOONIE BOOM (4) speared across to lead from a wide gate then defied the challengers in an impressive debut last start over this course and distance. Much more depth to this but she still has plenty of improvement to come so stick with her. STAR OF JAMAICA (1) is the class runner. Last appeared when beaten just 1.4 lengths in the Group 3 Pago Pago in March at Rosehill. Big trial winner at Doomben recently so he looks ready to go. TALE OF TASS (11) started at $1.85 and bolted in on debut over 1200m at Rockhampton a month ago. Switched to Tony Gollan since that win so hopes are high. Deserves respect despite a tricky gate. TOUCH BASE (2) led all the way and destroyed his rivals first-up over 870m at Toowoomba last start. Sure to race handy again from a good gate and should cope with this step up in grade. MARIA CLARA (6) is yet another fleet-footed last start winner who has claims in a tougher race.
